This week I am waiting on...
Title: Audition
Author: Stasia Ward Kehoe
Release Date: 13th October 2011
Publisher: Viking Juvenile
When high school junior Sara wins a coveted scholarship to study ballet, she must sacrifice everything for her new life as a professional dancer-in-training. Living in a strange city with a host family, she's deeply lonely-until she falls into the arms of Remington, a choreographer in his early twenties. At first, she loves being Rem's muse, but as she discovers a surprising passion for writing, she begins to question whether she's chosen the right path. Is Rem using her, or is it the other way around? And is dancing still her dream, or does she need something more? This debut novel in verse is as intense and romantic as it is eloquent. - From Goodreads
I'm not sure about it being written in verse, but the story... Ballet and romance, sounds great. I hope the story does not get lost in the writing!!
What are you waiting on?
Great pick. This looks like another one of those heartbreaking, emotional contemporary YA novels. :)
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this one too. great pick!
ReplyDeleteIn verse? That sounds interesting. I think I'd want to pick it up just to see how she pulls that off. :) Cool pick!

So far I've really loved every book that I've read that was written in verse. Hopefully this one will be good as well! Here's mine:

Have a wonderful week!
I would have a hard time reading a book written in verse. I'm curious to hear what others think of it once it is released.
