So, without further hesitation, the book I am most thankful for is Cracked Up To Be by Courtney Summers.
I had read a number of YA books before this one, and there are probably a number I could credit for encouraging the reader in me, but I can't ever think of a time in the past when I haven't loved reading.
Cracked Up To Be was the book that made me fall in love with book blogging. I am not a person who keeps their opinion to themselves (just ask anyone who sits anywhere near me at work!!) and I had been blogging for a couple of months. Mostly it was about the YA books I read but and I was not really feeling it. Then along came this book...
I think this was the first contemporary YA book I had read since I was actually a young adult and I loved it!! I loved it so much, that as soon as I read the last word I felt like I was going to burst if I did not share my thoughts. I have a few other friends that are avid readers, but their go to books are usually about politics or classics, so the only real outlet I had to share my love was my blog. Something just clicked for me when I was excitedly trying to get all my thoughts down in a way that people would enjoy and understand!
Now I can't get enough of sharing all things YA books and I owe to a beautiful and raw story about a girl who is lost.
